During air raid today on Canton-Kowloon railway British engineer in chief (Chinese section) informs me that four aeroplanes machine-gunned slow mixed train for Kowloon which left Canton at 8.45 a.. just outside Sheklung railway station.

There were no

casualties but engine tender has three holes and one of the

wagons four holes.

Repeated to Nanking, General Officer Commanding, Hongkong, Alt Attaché, Shanghai, Foreign Office, Tokyo.
